12월에 들은 인상깊은 앨범 두 장

Late Registration 

원래는 TCD를 더 선호하는 편이였으나 최근에 LR을 최근에 돌린 이후에는 LR을 TCD보다 조금 더 선호하게 된 거 같습니다. 제 개인적인 취향으로 LR은 카니예 웨스트의 앨범들 중 TOP 2에 들어가는 것 같아요. LR은 전작인 TCD가 고전 소울과 펑크 등을 샘플링하여 투박한 느낌이 드는 것에 반해 LR은 세련된 느낌이 주를 이룹니다. 세련된 느낌이 드는 이유에는 여러 가지가 있겠지만 LR은 전작에는 잘 들리지 않았던 오케스트라 활용과 프로듀서 존 브라이언의 영향이 세련됨에 영향을 끼친 것 같습니다. 아무튼 넘어가서 LR은 앨범 자체로 감상하는 것도 좋지만 피쳐링진들과 칸예 웨스트의 조화가 좋기에 트랙 별로 감상하는 것도 좋은 방법입니다. 인상깊은 트랙들을 간단히 설명하자면 마룬 5의 리더인 애덤 르빈과 조화가 이루어지는 2번 트랙 Heard 'em say 루페 피아스코를 리스너들에게 알린 3번 트랙 Touch The Sky 칸예 웨스트의 커리어 역사상 가장 성공한 곡 4번 트랙 gold digger 자신을 위해 인생을 희생한 어머니를 위한 곡 16번 트랙 Hey Mama가 있습니다.

PUNK TACTICS

이 앨범에 대해서 잘 모르시는 분들이 있을 거 같을 거 같아서 간단히 설명하자면 이 앨범은 조이 밸런스 & 브레이라는 듀오가 2023년에 발매한 힙합 앨범입니다. 제가 이 앨범을 처음 듣자마자 느낀 건 트렌디하지 않지만 1980년대 중후반~1990년대 초중반에 유행하던 힙합의 노스텔지아가 확실하게 느껴졌습니다. 또한 조금씩 귀에 들리는 단순하고 특이한 가사,이 앨범만이 가지고 있는 폭발하는 에너지 등이 너무나도 저의 귀를 자극했습니다. 확실한 것은 이 앨범은 2023년에 발매된 앨범들 중 후에도 가장 많이 들을 것 같습니다.
