Dariacore is an internet-based Electronic Dance Music subgenre created in the early 2020s. It is defined by the use of prominent vocal samples, chaotic production, hard and noisy basslines reminiscent of Future Bass, and elements of Mashup, Nightcore, Jersey Club and other diverse Electronic Dance Music genres. In particular, the fast-pace of Hardcore [EDM], the sound design of Brostep, and the sampling of Mashcoreare influences. Recognizable Pop samples and meme clips are utilized, and are typically heavily edited and sped up, featuring complex vocal chopping, distortion, and bitcrushing. Dariacore songs are often shorter than average (1-2 minutes), and place emphasis on fun, energetic and over-stimulating drops. This is achieved through dense production, complex melodies, and chaotic songwriting. Heavy compression to the point of distortion is also common.

The term was coined by Jane Remover under the alias leroy, for her album series of the same name. Shortly after the leroy SoundCloud account gained popularity, the genre began to spread throughout SoundCloud and Bandcamp, with artists such as xaev, dashie, and gingus creating their own album series and releasing songs one at a time. The cover art, artist names, and album names for the genre are usually themed around TV shows, video games, and other popular media (such as the MTV series Daria for leroy's Dariacore, or the character Berdly from Deltarune for xaev's Berdlycore Chapter 1). Dariacore has also seen significant crossover with Digicore and Hyperpop, as artists from these genres have made SoundCloud aliases to release their own takes on Dariacore, often incorporating samples from their respective genres.
