길르앗에 살았던 디셉 사람인 '엘리야'는 유일신 하나님만을 따르던 대표적인 선지자였고, 가난과 가뭄에 빠져있던 동네를 돕거나 피난민들을 안전하게 데리고 피신했던 등

하나님의 말씀을 듣고 선하게 행동했던 사람입니다

그래서 그가 맡은 사명을 다 한 뒤, 후계자까지 임명하고 하나님 곁으로 가는데

이 때 타고 가던 것이 'chariot of fire'입니다
